We abandon Islam Some of the journalists and writers of Azerbaijan are abandoning Islam to protest against the Death Fatwa of Rafegh Taghi and Samir Sedaghat Oghloo
Based on the news received by the campaign for saving the lives of Rafegh Taghi and Samir Sedaghat Oghloo, some of the Azerbaijani journalists who have been active against Islamic propaganda in the past years, have announced that they are abandoning Islam. This act of abandon is to protest against the Death Fatwa ruling against Rafegh Taghi and Samir Sedaghat Oghloo,
According to the journal Express, published in Baku Aghsheen Dada-of, one of the journalists and writers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has announced that he is abandoning Islam. Dada-of says: We have thought a lot about this decision in the past, but after the arrest of Rafegh Taghi, we have made our mind and are announcing this decision to the public”. This journalist also added: “We quit Islam, with the goal of reversing the Death Fatwa and of stopping the religious practice of execution rulings against those who have freely expressed their thoughts. The writer of the article “Europe and us” in San-at journal, Rafegh Taghi, has the right to express his opinion about negative and positive aspects of the prophet Mohammed. Rafegh Taghi has expressed his opinion in an original and comprehensive way and did not intend to insult the prophet”!
Dadash-of then announced: “Some of the writers are planning to complain regarding the arrest of Rafegh Taghi to the European Council. We did not abandon Islam to join another religion; we want to show by this gesture that we protest against the secret goals of religious organizations concerning Islamic values”.
Ghan Toraly is another journalist who has joined this anti-Islamic movement. Here is what he says in his interview with Touran News: “Ms. Sovynch Parvaneh, Gonol Mowlood and Sgahryar Sarija also have joined us. Some people in the Republic of Azerbaijan want to make everybody and everything Islamic, while we have a laic government in Azerbaijan and we will do our best to disapprove this plan of conversion of all compatriots to religious individuals. In the near future, other prominent Azerbaijani artists and cultural figures will join this movement”.
It is worth mentioning those three years ago, in a press conference held in Baku, Seymour Bayjan; another journalist had announced that he is abandoning Islam.
This action is considered as an important move and the campaign for saving the lives of Rafegh Taghi and Samir Sedaghat Oghloo, greets all the journalists and writers who with this interesting move, have announced their protest.
The campaign for saving the lives of Rafegh Taghi and Samir Sedaghat Oghloo is moving forward with strength and in this important movement; we are inviting everyone to sign the petition of protest against this Death Fatwa.
