Regarding detained students in Iran

Your Excellency,

The Swedish National Union of Students (SFS), representing ¾ of all students enrolled at Swedish universities and university collages in, have recieved notice of the imprisonment of 46 Iranian students from the universities of Allaameh, Chamraan, Baahonar and Mashad due to their participation in activities during the Student´s day of December 7th 2007. We have recieved this information from relatives, and also from reports via AFP and Radio Free Europe. We, as our European organisation European Student´s Union, regard this information as credible.  

SFS strongly protests against any imprisonment or other sanctions against students for political reasons. We call for their immediate release.
