اتحاديه کارگران ساختمانى، انرژى و معدن در استرالیا خواهان آزادی فوری دستگیر شدگان اول مه در ایران شد!
بدنبال تماس ارسلان ناظری کادر حزب کمونیست کارگری ایران٬ پیتر مک للند دبیر واحد استان نیو سات ولس اتحاديه کارگران ساختمانى، انرژى و معدن در استرالیا با ۲۸۰۰۰ عضو طی نامه ای به خامنه ای، احمدی نژاد و شاهرودی نسبت به پایمال کردن حقوق کارگران ایران توسط رژیم اسلامی اعتراض کرد و دستگیری و بازداشت کارگران بخاطر برگزاری روز جهانی کارگر را محکوم نمود. در بخشی از این نامه آمده است:
"ما بعنوان نمایندگان کارگران و یک نهاد انترناسیونالیست خواستار آزادی فوری دستگیر شدگان اول مه در ایران بدون کاربرد هر گونه تهدید و خشونت و یا صدورحکمی علیه آنها هستیم. ما همینطور احیای فوری حقوق انسانی و حقوق اتحادیه ای تمام کارگران در ایران را خواهانیم."
خاطر نشان کنیم که چندی پیش نیز شورای اتحادیه های کارگری استرالیا که ۲ میلیون عضو دارد با ارسال نامه ای به احمدی نژاد٬ جمهوری اسلامی را به دلیل خشونت وحشیانه علیه کارگران در اول مه شدیدا محکوم کرد و از احمدی نژاد خواست که امکان آزادی دستگیر شدگان روز جهانی کارگر را فراهم آورد.

I write on behalf of the Construction Forestry Mining & Energy Union in Australia. This trade union represents over 28,000 construction workers in the construction sector in New South Wales, Australia. The Branch takes an active interest in all matters to do with human and trade union rights across the world.
We wish to express our deep and serious concerns regarding the health and well-being of all of those persons whose International Trade Union and Civil Rights have been abused following May Day celebrations in Iran.
May Day is internationally recognised as the day of celebration for the working class. The idea for a "workers holiday" began in Australia in 1856. With the idea having spread around the world, the choice of May 1st became the day of choice to commemorate workers struggles. It is an international day also for promoting peace, friendship and understanding throughout the world. Symbolically May Day knows no geographic, religious or political boundaries.
As workers’ representatives and internationalists we demand the immediate release of the all persons arrested and or detained on May Day - without any further fear, prejudice or violation against them. We also demand the immediate restoration of human and trade union rights to all workers in Iran.
